The magnetic pole detector CY-PD288 is the new generation of the pole detector CY-PD248. It is powered with one battery (1.5V, type AAA). The continuous operation time of the battery is longer than 10 hours. The minimum detectable magnetic field is ±9mT (90Gs).
Detection of Magnetic Pole
Simply press and hold the oval button shown on the photo left. Then, place the tip of the detector to the surface of the magnet. If it is the North Pole, the Red LED will shine, if it's the South Pole, the Green LED will light. It's very simple. And if the button is held and the unit is moved around the surface of the magnet, one can note the transition from one pole to another.
